An Interview With Maru Ramirez

Fashiony Fab is a web and graphic design studio that focuses on helping and inspiring creatives from all around the world. If you are looking for a new web design, branding, logos, they have something for you.  The beauty and brains behind this is the fabulous, Maru Ramirez.

Maru started this site with a passion of working with entrepreneurs and helping them build a successful business.  She has a fabulous eye for all the right things and is a great person to know!

How did you get your start?

I first started as a lifestyle blogger, just a place where I could share with others about fashion, beauty and health. A year later, I discovered my passion for design and decided to explore it more. My site was the perfect place to do this. I first worked on small projects, some of them with friends or family members, and once I felt ready, I launched my design studio.

How did you get the background and skills necessary to run this type of business?

Honestly, everything I know about design has been self-taught. Well, I’ve taken a few online courses, but most of it has been learned through experience. I graduated from college with a degree in Psychology, and even though I still love it, design is definitely what I love to do. My blog gave me a lot of room to learn.

How do you define success as a business owner?

For me, success is more than just numbers, it’s about being confident and pleased with what you do, is that connection you have with it. To get up in the morning and work in what makes you feel passionate about, that is success.
If you were to design the perfect team of 4 people to help you run this company, what characteristics would those four people have?

This is a great question! They would need creativity, an open mind, humility and the desire to keep learning more each day.

(Thank you so much!)

Whom do you seek advice from for your business?

My parents. They are successful business owners, they always encourage me to dig deeper and chase my dreams, what more could I ask?

Xx. Kelly
