Music That Moves Me

Music That Moves Me

Nearly everyone enjoys music, whether it’s listening to it, singing, or playing an instrument. I listen to music all the time.  In the car, at my house, on my back deck, while I feed my new born, etc. Research over the last few decades has increasingly shown that music, and in particular the singing and playing of music, helps the brain develop much more fully and extensively, especially in our early years. Music makes us brighter, more intelligent, more logical, more rational, and more capable. It improves study habits and test scores and builds a better sense of self. Music aids in our general sense of well-being and improves our quality of life.

Music should be healing, uplifting, inspirational and make you feel better. There is no better way of getting closer to your soul, then listening to music.  Everyone has a different ear for music and that is wonderful! Your taste in music is what makes you, you!

After a nice weekend Monday’s can certainly be tough!  You are getting yourself ready for a new week and setting that alarm clock.  With this soundtrack I hope I can make your Monday a little bit easier to get through! I love all genres of music. Here are just a few of my favorite songs. This mix of music will wake you up and keep you “ movin’ and groovin’ “

Below I picked a few artists I love.  I have always been a huge Maroon 5 fan so they are on my list and lets be honest for a second Adam is super cute, and fun to look at! 🙂  Sia is absolutely fabulous! She was introduced to me when I was in high school by one of my best friends. Tyrone Wells is someone I just recently came across and he has a lot of great songs you will notice he has two songs on my playlist.  John Mayer is an oldie, but a goodie.  I feel like he has been around for quite sometime, but this song just rolled across my pandora station a month or two ago and I immediately fell in love with it!  Meghan Trainor is a rising star!  Here are two songs I really like from her. I think she is totally adorable as well in her music videos; so if you haven’t seen her work, check them out!

Meghan Trainor: Dear Future Husband
Ron Pope: One Grain of Sand
Sia: Elastic Heart
Maroon 5: Sugar
Meghan Trainor: Lips Are Moving
Tyrone Wells: Running Around In My Dreams
John Mayer: Perfectly Lonely
James Morrison: In My Dreams
Tyrone Wells: No Good Without You
One Republic: Say (All I Need)

“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.” – Hunter S. Thompson

I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as I do! Make your own playlist of some of your favorite songs and see if It brightens your early morning when Monday rolls around!
