An Interview With Blake Babcock

An Interview With Blake Babcock

One of the many reasons I love social media is that it gives you the ability to ‘meet’ people. One person I came across on Twitter a few years ago is Blake Babcock. What stood out to me about Blake was that in his bio it said, ”father to triplets” I just about fell out of my chair!! It’s hard to handle 1 baby, let alone 3!! Blake has strong passion for personal growth and development, as well as philanthropy. Blake has been a true friend to me and I genuinely look forward to watching our friendship grow!

How did you get your start?
I’ve always been pretty extroverted and just needed another avenue to share everything that was going on in my mind so I began writing a blog and most recently started my video blog. It’s been great to share everything that’s going on inside my head and engage in meaningful conversation with others.

How do you define success as a business owner?
I’m all about GROWTH. Everything I touch I want to see positive growth.  That could be revenue, relationships, people served, personal growth and more.  There is nothing more rewarding than when someone tells me they read a blog or saw me speak and it helped them grow personally…that’s life changing!

Whom do you seek advice from for your business?
There’s a select few people I really rely on for their guidance. These relationships have been growing over the years and I’ve also cultivated a few new ones.  The better we get to know each other the more honest they are with me. I don’t need rah rah advice…I just need the truth so I can move froward and I really value that.

If you were to design the perfect team of 4 people to help you run this company, what characteristics would those four people have?
I look for 1 thing and 1 thing only…mindset.  If you have the right mindset you can do absolutely anything.  Everything starts in your head.

You have triplets! How do you balance that with your business?
I just wrote a blog post recently about “balance” and how I don’t believe in it. Sure I’m involved in an insane amount of things, but it’s who I am and what I love. I keep three things in mind (Naturally I screw it up sometimes because I’m human)
1) Family is always first
2) If you commit to something do what you say you were going to do
3) Deliver results and no one will care about the rest
